We are a family-run foundation, our work stems from the love we have for exploring. A love that is generational, deeply rooted in our beings. Probably it is that love of the wild that has made growing roots in Costa Rica so easy. For over 30 years we have been living in and fighting for the conservation of the mountains in Escazu.

Now, this fight has also grown roots through the creation of EcoFuturo Foundation. Our plan is to become a beacon for regenerative lifestyles so that all (from near and far) can come and experience the ease of regenerative practices with the hope that they will then be able to adopt some of those practices when they go home.

Small acts of love for a sustainable planet

Indira de Beausset

Founder

Indira has Masters degrees in Public Health and Group Psychology, doctorate in nonformal education and critical thinking. Her desire to work with the balance in the natural world and change human interaction among themselves and with the rest of the world comes not from formal education but from a life mostly lived in the wild relying on the natural resources of the environment with very little help from technology. Agriculture was always a part of her family life and although not permitted to study in that field because of being a woman in the 1960’s, she has gradually over the years become an autodidactic and a passionate believer that creating a regenerative culture, encompassing the environmental, social, economic, political and spiritual aspects of life, is the way to insure the possibility of survival of human life on the planet. The EcoFuturo Foundation is a way to put into practice these beliefs at the local level.
